To develop confidence and subject knowledge in LSAs

Maths Hubs’ focus has been on teachers primarily. LSA/TA play a vital part in the learning of the students.

Many LSA have little mathematical confidence and we can change that with training and support. There is a change in the role of an LSA since the introduction of teaching for mastery and LSA should be aware and confident in these changing times. An LSA with strong content knowledge and an understanding of misconceptions and the students, can make a positive difference to the outcomes of pupils.

We have adapted our 'Mathematical Confidence and Mindset' CPD for LSA staff such that these key colleagues can engage with subject specific professional learning and can be more confident in the Maths classroom.

If you think that you or your colleagues would benefit from participating in this CPD, please contact us.
