Leading for Sustainable Development in Mathematics: Supporting Primary Leadership 

This Work Group aims to support school leadership teams to develop sustainable approaches for improving pupil outcomes in mathematics. 

Oracy in Mathematics (Secondary) 

A new and exciting Work Group this year 'Oracy in Mathematics (Secondary), which is being delivered in collaboration with Voice 21.   Aimed at secondary teachers interested in developing their understanding of oracy. It will explore the importance of language in mathematics and consider how a focus on speaking and listening in the classroom can deepen student’s mathematical reasoning. The Work Group project will have a particular focus on identifying impact through the lens of disadvantage and equity of opportunity and provision. 

Multiplying Success 

A whole school approach to improving the teaching and learning of multiplication, division and times tables at primary level.  This Work Group is aimed at maths leads or a member of the senior leadership team. 

Teaching for Mastery in the context of Special Schools and Alternative Provisions 

This Work Group is designed to support teachers and leaders of mathematics in special school and alternative provisions to understand how teaching for mastery can be implemented in their settings.
