NCETM's May Newsletter focusses on the wide-ranging programme of school and professional development opportunities on offer across the Maths Hubs Network next year.

Every year, the 40 Maths Hubs across England offer a wide variety of CPD 'projects' to schools, trusts, departments and teachers. For 2022/23, over 30 fully-funded projects are on offer (and, in some cases, there is extra support to subsidise teachers’ time out of class). All school and college phases are covered, from Early Years to post-16. Get Involved!

May's Primary Round-up highlights the Maths Hubs CPD opportunities now available for next year. Also this month:

  • Introducing multiplicative thinking - building in small steps to ensure all children develop understanding early on in primary school
  • Mastering Number - opportunities for 2022/23
  • A primary teacher in the secondary maths classroom - an interview with a teacher who has moved from primary to secondary school
  • Research - what does it say about learning multiplication and division?
