Raising Local Post-16 Participation

This workgroup is working towards increasing the take up of Mathematics at Post 16.  This will be achieved through a number of methods including an enhanced careers service to include involvement from a broad cross section of career backgrounds. Early identification of students predicted a grade B in their GCSE to encourage them to continue studying maths, early identification of students predicted a grace C in their GCSE to encourage them to consider Core Maths.  Time will also be invested in connecting these identified students with Mathematics undergraduates from UWE for mentoring.
